While we’re sure you’ll love what you’ve ordered, we understand that sometimes you might have second thoughts. To make a return for a refund or exchange, you’ll need to follow the instructions set out below.

Christmas Returns Policy - Online Purchases

Return by Post or Collect+

In addition to our usual returns policy, Ted is pleased to offer an extended seasonal returns policy for goods purchased online between 1st November and 24th December. You can return these purchases for an exchange or gift card until 31st January.

Alternatively, you can return these online purchases to a Ted Baker standalone store (excluding airport stores) for an exchange or gift card until 31 January.

Any items returned to us must be in their original condition – if they’re not, we may be unable to accept them. 
 
You must provide valid proof of purchase.  This can be either your delivery note or your order confirmation email.

Online Returns to Online Store

You have the right to cancel your contract within 14 days of receipt of the goods. The easiest way to do this is to return the goods to us in accordance with the below instructions. If you are unable to return the goods to us before the 14 day period has expired you need to notify us of your intention to cancel, always within the 14 day period. To do so, simply email ask.ted@tedbaker.com or write to us at Ted Baker Customer Services, The Ugly Brown Building, 6a St Pancras Way, London NW1 0TB.

For your convenience, you can use the cancellation form here. In any case, you must return the goods to us in their original condition within 14 days of the date on which you informed us that you wished to cancel (or, if you have not told us that you wish to cancel, within 14 days of receipt of the goods).

We will then refund your purchase within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or proof that the order has been returned, whichever is earlier. Any items returned to us must be in their original condition – if they’re not, we may be unable to accept them. We may make a deduction from the refund for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.

1. To make an online return, you need to select a reason from the list below:

B - It's not really my colour
C - You sent me the wrong item/size/colour
D - What you sent me was faulty
E - Just doesn’t fit right
F - My order didn't arrive in time
G - The item doesn't look like the picture I saw online
H - I'm disappointed with the quality
I - It's a bit too big
J - It's a bit too small
K - I've changed my mind 
L - Unwanted gift 
M - Exchange
N - Other

2. Write the corresponding letter into the ‘Return Code’ column against the relevant item on the delivery note that came with your order.

3. Then within 14 days after the date on which you told us that you wished to cancel your purchase (or, if you have not told us that you wish to cancel, within 14 days of the date of receipt of the goods) send the goods you wish to return along with the delivery note to:

For convenience, you can use the returns label on the other side of your delivery note. You’ll need to pay the return postage and for safety, we would recommend you use a recorded delivery service and keep the proof of postage. If we have to pay additional postage charges on your package, we may deduct the amount of such charges from any refund we send to you. Your parcel is your responsibility until it reaches us.  We cannot accept liability for goods that get lost or damaged in transit back to us

As long as any goods you send back to us are in their original condition, we will refund your purchase within 14 days of receiving your package or proof that the order has been returned. If you are a customer in the EU, we will also refund the cost of standard delivery.

Rugs

Having second thoughts? To return your rug for a refund or exchange, you will need to arrange a collection with Ted’s helpful Customer Service team. 

Please note that rug returns cannot be made to store for either an exchange or refund. Any additional items purchased from Ted cannot be returned via his rug collection service. 

1. Give our friendly Customer Service team a call on +44 (0)345 450 2484 to let them know you would like a refund or exchange. 

2. If you need an exchange, the team will then jot down a few details to reserve the stock.

3. Let the team know when you will be at home, work or an accessible location with your rug so that it can be collected swiftly and safely. 

4. Ted’s Customer Service team will then book the collection and confirm via email when the courier will collect your rug.

5. Use the packaging provided to wrap your rug nice and securely. If you have opened it to have a butcher’s, don’t forget to roll it inside-out and be sure to include your delivery note so we know who has sent it back! On the day of collection, please do make sure you are in. The courier will text a ‘pick-up’ window on the morning of collection and can only come out once. 

6. Once the rug has been received at Ted’s warehouse your refund or exchange will be processed and confirmed via email.

Online Returns to Store

If you are a customer in the UK or Ireland you can take unwanted items to a Ted Baker standalone store in your country of delivery (excluding airport stores) for a refund or an exchange. You must return the items to a Ted Baker standalone store in their original condition and with proof of purchase within 14 days of receipt of order. Please note that online outlet orders cannot be returned to stores.

Please note:

If you are a customer in the UK or Ireland, we will also refund original shipping charges up to the cost of standard delivery.

You must provide a valid proof of purchase.  This can be either your delivery note or your order confirmation email.

Online orders cannot be returned to Ted stores through the post.  If you wish to return your online order by post please follow the instructions set out above for online returns to the online store.

Collect Plus Returns

Collect+ is a nifty new way to return your Ted Baker order.

Below is the step-by-step process.

1. Simply scribble your order number on the Collect+ returns label
2. Peel off the sticky label and pop it on to your parcel over the original delivery labels
3. Don’t forget to include your returns form in your parcel! Make sure to tell us why you’ve changed your mind 4. Now for the easy bit. Simply take your parcel to one of over 5000 Collect+ store locations.

To find your most convenient store, log onto www.collectplus.co.uk and search by using your postcode.

Make sure you get proof of postage and a code to track your return order online.
…and then you're done!

A sum of up to £3 will be deducted from your refund to cover postage.

Exchanges

1. If you'd like to exchange an item, you need to select a reason from the list above.

2. Write the corresponding letter into the ‘Return Code’ column against the relevant item on the delivery note that came with your order.

3. Then give customer services a ring on 0345 450 2484. Make sure you've got your order number, return code and the name of the item you wish to exchange for to hand. Also, if any additional payment needs to be taken, please have your credit/debit card details ready.

4. After that, within 14 days of receipt of the goods by you, send the goods you wish to exchange along with the delivery note to:

Legal Rights

Under the applicable EU legislation (including, but not limited to, Directive 2011/83/EU, as implemented in the national laws of EU Member States), you have 14 days (from the date on which you receive your order) to let us know that you wish to cancel your purchase. In this case, we will provide a full refund of the goods including any relevant shipping charges in accordance with this Returns Policy.

Advice about your legal rights is available from your local Citizens' Advice Bureau or Trading Standards office.

Problems with your order

We have a legal duty to ensure that we deliver products that conform with your contract. It doesn't happen often, but sometimes we make a mistake. If we've made one with your order or you have any issues with the goods themselves, the first thing to do is contact Ted's Online Customer Service Team on:

Once you've explained the fault or problem and given us your Order Number, we'll then give you a Returns Number. You'll need to fill this in, along with some other information, on the Returns Form, which should be in the box your order arrived in.

If your form has gone walkies, don't worry. Just email webenquiries@tedbaker.com and we'll send you a new one. Once you have it, be sure to fill the form in carefully, clearly explaining the problem with the item(s) being returned. If your order was incorrectly packed or an item was faulty and you want a replacement, we'll simply send you the correct item(s) or a new version of what you ordered.

We'll also refund your original delivery charge and any costs you incur returning the item(s). We obviously won't charge you for the delivery of the correct item(s) either.

Important Note:

Any items returned to us must be in their original condition – if they’re not, we may be unable to accept them. We may make a deduction from the refund for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.

Clothing: When trying on clothing, please ensure that you are not wearing any fragrance or deodorant that may leave a scent or mark.

Jewellery and watches: Avoid contact with perfume, deodorant, hairspray or water. Avoid scratches by storing in a non-abrasive box or pouch. Handle with care and do not apply unnecessary force.

Footwear: Footwear will only be accepted if returned to us unworn and in its original unmarked and undamaged box.

Swimwear and underwear: For hygiene reasons, swimwear and underwear can only be returned if the protective seal is still intact.

Non-Returnable Products: For hygiene, safety and security reasons earrings and personal grooming products cannot be returned. Please also note that goods that have been made to your specifications or personalised cannot be returned.

As long as the goods you send back to us in accordance with our returns policy are in their original condition, we will refund your purchase within 14 days of receiving the returned goods, or proof that the order has been returned, whichever is earlier. If you are a customer in the EU, we will also refund the cost of standard delivery.

This does not affect your legal rights.

Your right to cancel

Goods Purchased In Store

Subject to the exceptions below, we are happy to offer a refund or exchange for items purchased from Ted Baker standalone stores within 14 days of purchase. You must return the items to a Ted Baker standalone store in their original condition and with proof of purchase – if not, we may be unable to accept them. Refunds are only available at Ted Baker standalone stores in the original country of purchase and will be made against the original form of payment. Items purchased from Ted Baker standalone stores and returned instore between 14 and 28 days after purchase will be offered an exchange or gift card. This does not affect your legal rights.

Please note;

Bought something from one of Ted’s concessions? Please note that these goods can only be returned to the department store of purchase. 

Goods purchased in a Ted Baker store cannot be returned to a Ted Baker concession.

For returns of goods purchased in a Ted Baker airport store, please refer to the returns policy page on the relevant airport website.

A valid proof of purchase would be either a store till receipt or a bank or statement showing the payment.

Complaints Procedure

Ted hopes that you do not have any complaints – if you do, please contact Ted’s Customer Services team here who will try and resolve any issues. If your dispute remains unresolved, you may be eligible to use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform here.
