Making a return
Your happiness is of utmost importance to Ted. So if you need to return something you’ve bought online, that’s fine by him. However, depending on your reason for making a return, there are different procedures to follow.
If there’s a problem with your order – such as the wrong goods were sent or an item’s faulty – you need to return the item(s) to Ted’s Online Store. The details of how to do this are below.
On the other hand, if something’s not quite what you were after or the wrong size, there are two ways* we can help.
You can send the item(s) back to Ted’s Online Store. Alternatively, if you’re in the UK or Ireland, you can take the item(s) back to one of Ted’s standalone stores for an exchange or credit note – cash refunds are only available at Ted’s Online Store. Again, all the details are below.
*Important Note: Footwear, underwear and swimwear purchased online can only be returned to Ted’s Online Store.

Problems with your order
It doesn’t happen often, but sometimes we make a mistake. If we’ve made one with your order or you have any issues with the goods themselves, the first thing to do is contact Ted’s Online Customer Service Team on returns@tedbaker.com or 0845 130 4278 ext 1.
Once you’ve explained the fault or problem and given us your Order Number, we’ll then give you a Returns Number. You’ll need to fill this in, along with some other information, on the Returns Form, which should be in the box your order arrived in.
If your form has gone walkies, don’t worry. Just email webenquiries@tedbaker.com and we’ll send you a new one. Once you have it, be sure to fill the form in carefully, clearly explaining the problem with the item(s) being returned.
Once you’ve done that, send the item(s) back to us at the address on the Returns Form. (Where possible please ensure that anything you return is unworn and unwashed, with all the tags attached and in the clear plastic bag it came in.) Getting the parcel to us is your responsibility. So for peace of mind, we would recommend you use a recorded delivery service.
If your order was incorrectly packed or an item was faulty and you want a replacement, we’ll simply send you the correct item(s) or a new version of what you ordered. We’ll also refund your original delivery charge and any costs you incur returning the item(s). We obviously won’t charge you for the delivery of the correct item(s) either.
On the other hand, you may want to exchange a faulty item for something else. If so, when we receive your package, the value of the item(s) you return will be refunded to the card you initially paid with. This should appear in your account in less than 30 days.
You’ll then need to place an order for the item(s) you want to exchange for. When we get this, we’ll refund your original delivery charge and whatever it cost you to send the item(s) back. Again, this will appear in your account in less than 30 days. To show we’re genuinely sorry, you also won’t pay a penny for the delivery of your new order.
Important Note
All items must be returned to us in their original condition. With this in mind, please follow the instructions below – failure to do so may result in Ted Baker being unable to accept a return.
Clothing: When trying on clothing, please ensure that you are not wearing any fragrance or deodorant that may leave a scent or mark.
Jewellery and Watches: Avoid contact with perfume, deodorant, hairspray or water. Avoid scratches by storing in a non-abrasive box or pouch. Handle with care and do not apply unnecessary force.
Footwear: Footwear will only be accepted if returned to us unworn and in its original unmarked and undamaged box.

You need to do this within seven days of receiving your order. Don’t worry though, the item(s) you’re returning needn't be back with us until 14 days after your order was delivered. Ted understands the postal service takes a bit of time.

Exchanges at Ted’s Online Store
Unfortunately, Ted’s Online Store can’t process exchanges in the traditional sense. However, we can do something very similar. Let us explain… (It’s not as complicated as it may seem, but if you’re confused about anything just call Ted’s Online Customer Service Team on 0845 130 4278 ext 1.)
The first thing you need to do is order the item you would have exchanged for from Ted’s Online Store. Then call Ted’s Online Customer Service Team and tell them that you’ll be making a return.
They’ll give you a Returns Number that you’ll need to fill in, along with some other details, on the Returns Form which would have come with your original order. (If it’s missing, just email webenquiries@tedbaker.com and we’ll send you one.)
It’s your responsibility to ensure anything you return is in its original condition – unworn and unwashed, with all the tags attached and in the clear plastic bag it arrived in. Additionally, for peace of mind, we would recommend you use a recorded delivery service. To help you save on postage though, you don’t need to send the item(s) you want to return back in the box your order arrived in.
So that we can refund the shipping from your new order, make sure to also add your new Order Number (the item(s) you just ordered) to the Returns Form. Once you’ve done that, package up the item(s) you want to return and send them back to Ted.
When we receive them, we’ll refund your card with the value of the returned item(s) and reimburse your new order’s delivery charge. These funds will appear back on your card in less than 30 days.
