Return Policies

While we’re sure you’ll love what you’ve ordered, we understand that sometimes you might have second thoughts. To make a return for a refund or exchange, you’ll need to follow the instructions set out below.

Christmas Returns for goods purchased Online

Return by Post 

In addition to our usual returns policy, Ted is pleased to offer an extended seasonal returns policy for goods purchased online between 14th November and 24th December. You can return these purchases for a refund or an exchange until 31st January. 


The Finer Details

We are unable to take any returns or exchanges in Australian stores for items that have been bought online.

Any items returned to us must be in their original condition – if they’re not, we may be unable to accept them. 

You must provide valid proof of purchase.  This can be either your delivery note or your order confirmation email.                                                                                                                            

Ted Baker reserves the right to amend or withdraw this promotion at any time without notice. This does not affect your legal rights. 

 

Christmas Returns for goods purchased in Stores

Standalone Stores

In addition to our usual returns policy, Ted is pleased to offer an extended seasonal returns policy for full price goods purchased between 14th  November and 24th December 2016. You can return these purchases to a Ted Baker standalone store (excluding outlet stores) until 14th January 2017.  

Note: Items purchased at discount between 14th November and 24th December 2016 can be returned to a Ted Baker standalone store (excluding outlet stores) until 14th January 2017 for an exchange but please note that they will not be eligible for a refund.

Outlet Stores

In addition to our usual returns policy, Ted is pleased to offer an extended seasonal returns policy for goods purchased between 14th November and 24th December 2016. You can return these purchases to a Ted Baker outlet store until 14th January 2017.

Online Returns to Online Store

To return an item to us, you need to select a reason from the list below. Write the corresponding letter into the ‘Return Code’ column against the relevant item on the delivery note that came with your order. Then, within 28 days of the date you received your order, send the goods you wish to return along with the delivery note to:

As long as any goods you send back to us are in their original condition and we receive them within 28 days of the date you received your order, we will refund your purchase within 14 days of receiving your package or proof that the order has been returned. Please note that your bank might need longer to process the credit back to your account.

Online Exchanges

 If you’d like to exchange an item, you need to select a reason from the list below. Write the corresponding letter into the ‘Return Code’ column against the relevant item on the delivery note that came with your order. Then give customer services a ring on +61 18 0067 8326 or email ask.ted@tedbaker.com  within 28 days of receiving your package. Make sure you’ve got your order number, return code and the name of the item you wish to exchange to hand. Also, if any additional payment needs to be taken, please have your credit/debit card details ready. After that, send the goods you wish to exchange along with the delivery note to:

You’ll need to pay the return postage and for safety, we would recommend you use a recorded delivery service and keep the proof of postage. Your parcel is your responsibility until it reaches us. We cannot accept liability for goods that get lost or damaged in transit back to us. 
 
Once we’ve received your package, and as long as the item(s) are in their original condition, we’ll send out your new goods within 14 working days.
 

For All Returns And Exchanges

 Any items returned to us must be in their original condition – if they’re not, we may be unable to accept them. We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.

 
Clothing: When trying on clothing, please ensure that you are not wearing any fragrance, make-up or deodorant that may leave a scent or mark.
 
Footwear: Footwear will only be accepted if returned to us unworn and in its original unmarked and undamaged box.
 
Swimwear and Underwear: For hygiene reasons, swimwear and underwear can only be returned if the protective seal is still intact.
 
Non-Returnable Products: For hygiene, safety and security reasons earrings and personal grooming products cannot be returned. 
 
Please also note that goods that have been made to your specifications or personalised cannot be returned.

Legal Rights

Under the applicable Australian legislation (including, but not limited to, the Australian Consumer Law, under Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)), you are entitled to consumer guarantees which cannot lawfully be limited or excluded by law. Nothing in these Terms operates to exclude, restrict or modify these consumer guarantees. 

 
We limit all liability arising in connection with a breach of a consumer guarantee to, at our option, replacing the goods or supplying equivalent goods; repairing the goods; paying the cost of replacing the goods or of acquiring equivalent goods; or paying the cost of having the goods repaired.  You acknowledge and agree that the remedies in this clause are the sole remedies for a breach of such guarantees and that it is fair and reasonable for us to rely on this clause. 
 
 

Problems with your order

We have a legal duty to ensure that we deliver products that conform with your contract. It doesn't happen often, but sometimes we make a mistake. If we've made one with your order or you have any issues with the goods themselves, the first thing to do is contact Ted's Online Customer Service Team on:

Once you've explained the fault or problem and given us your Order Number, we'll then give you a Returns Number. You'll need to fill this in, along with some other information, on the Returns Form, which should be in the box your order arrived in.
 
If your form has gone walkies, don't worry. Just email ask.ted@tedbaker.com and we'll send you a new one. Once you have it, be sure to fill the form in carefully, clearly explaining the problem with the item(s) being returned. If your order was incorrectly packed or an item was faulty and you want a replacement, we'll simply send you the correct item(s) or a new version of what you ordered.
 

Goods Purchased In Store – Applies In Store Only

Subject to the exceptions below, we are happy to offer a refund or exchange for items purchased from Ted Baker standalone stores within 14 days of purchase. You must return the items to a Ted Baker standalone store in their original condition and with proof of purchase – if not, we may be unable to accept them. Refunds are only available at Ted Baker standalone stores in the original country of purchase and will be made against the original form of payment. Items purchased from Ted Baker standalone stores and returned instore between 14 and 28 days after purchase will be offered an exchange [or gift card]. This does not affect your legal rights. 

 

Please note: 

Goods purchased in a Ted Baker stand alone store cannot be returned to a Ted Baker Outlet store. 

Goods purchased in a Ted Baker Outlet store cannot be returned to a Ted Baker Stand alone store. 

Goods purchased in a Ted Baker concession cannot be returned to a Ted Baker store. 

Goods purchased in a Ted Baker store cannot be returned to a Ted Baker concession. 

Goods purchased at Ted Baker online cannot be returned to a Ted Baker Stand alone, Ted Baker Outlet store or Ted Baker concession.

For returns of goods purchased in a Ted Baker airport store, please refer to the returns policy page on the relevant airport website. 

A valid proof of purchase would be a store till receipt.
